Description: This secluded venue has black oak beams and magnolia painted low ceilings. The walls are decorated with art prints, motor racing memorabillia, and willow pattern plates. At one end of the long bar is a proper restaurant complete with tablecloths, at the other is a stone floored area with a real fire. Beers on offer include Youngs, London Pride, Spitfire, I.P.A., Carlsberg. It is now being run by Joe and Karen. Live music on Wednesday nights. The Malting House, is a large converted barn with space to host a wide variety of events. From Parties and social gatherings to wedding receptions, and can easily be set-up to suit your needs. Sadly this venue no longer has live music.

Description: This large venue has two bars, the smaller of the two looks like its designed to give the hotel guests somewhere quiet to relax. The larger has a bar on one side, a raised seating area on the other, with bare wooden floorboards and two sofas. The Magnolia/off white walls are docorated with old photographs and art prints. There are several large etched glass wows on the streetside. Beers on offer include Carlsberg, Fosters, John Smith's. Entertainment is provided by a video projector, screen, and a LCD TV for sports, a few fruit machines, and two pool tables. The live music is on the 1st and 3rd Saturday's of the month.

Description: This venue was formerly the Lamb and Star. This large venue has a prime corner site. The plain walls are a nice change from the usual over cluttered collection of nic-naks. There are lots of tables to sit and eat and a conservattory and beer garden. They have a large car park at the rear of the garden. The beers available include San Miguel, Kronenbourg 1664, Carlsberg and Fosters, John Smith's and Harveys bitter and Hogs Back's TEA, Magner's and Strongbow cider and the usual selection of wines and spirits, bottled beers and soft drinks. a couple a blackboards with special offers. The large windows make it bright inside. The long main bar has bench seats. The band usally plays in one corner at the end of the bar and there's even a small dancefloor. The friendly staff make you feel welcome and there is home-cooked food. Other Entertainment is provided by a large screen projecter for sports and fruit machines. Live music on Saturday nights, 9-11pm.

Description: This traditional English pub, though situated next to a main road (A29), has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of seating and home-cooked food. The L-shaped central bar area has a low ceiling with oak beams while the restaurant (with a michelin- trained chef) and front side of the building, with a lounge area, have large windows letting in the natural light on sunny days. The bar is well stocked, with Fosters, Carlsburg, Guinness and several real ales, wines and the usual selection of bottled beers and spirits. It is run by Paul and Gwyneth, helped by several eager young staff members waiting to serve. At the rear is a conservatory and large beer garden. The live music is on Friday nights from 9pm. Other entertainment on offer is provided by fruit machines, dartboard, and a pool table. The only slight drawback, though no fault of the management and probably more environmentally friendly, might be the dark walk of 20 yards along the road to the large car park at the end of the evening. Bed & breakfast accommodation is also available. This venue now has free wireless internet access for patrons.

Description: This is a very traditional pub. The Main bar is dominated by black oak beams and a large fireplace (the fire is gas powered, but very well designed). A wide selection of lagers (Stella Artois, Carlsberg), ales (Spitfire, Fuller's London Pride and Directors Best, and red and white wines, Quinns, and spirits are on offer. It is run by 2 couples, Joyce & Richard, and Aimee & Clive. Once a year the pub plays host to a local band of Morris dancers. The musical entertainment includes "Open Mic Night" on Mondays (first and third) and Live Music every Saturday.

Description: This large venue has a patio at the front, and a large car park at the side, and a large beer garden at the back. Inside there are plenty of tables and chairs, Unfortunately the immense size is carried inside too, all the furnature seems to be 20% bigger than necessary. This can be comforting in a chair, but the stools make you feel like Dennis Waterman in that Little Britain sketch. Don't get me wrong, they are well made, and pleasant to sit in, it just looks a little weird. The walls are decorated with blackboards showing special offers, and old posters, and art prints. The floors are bare boards, although probably very hygienic, can make the place more noisy. There are large windows on three sides which let in a great deal of natural light. All of this gives the venue a relaxing seaside feel. The long bar has upholstered stools. Beers on offer include London Pride, Spitfire, Greene King I.P.A, Carlsberg, Guinness, Carling and San Miguel, Strongbow cider and wine on tap. Live music is presently on alternate Wednesday nights. Other entertainment is provided by a large LCD TV. They also have a function room for hire. Sadly this venue no longer does live music.
