Description: Old fassioned english pub, with framed cigarette card collections, bar mats and memorabilia covering the walls. The curved wooden bar with display rail looks like its been there forever. A wide selection of lagers, Fosters, Carling etc. Real ales including Hound Dog, St George Special, Porterhouse, T.E.A., and the usual selection of wines and spirits. The pretty young barmaids make you feel welcome. Live jazz on wednesday night and rock on saturdays. It was The Morning Advertiser's Pub of the Year 2005.

  1. Sampled the 'Jazz night' on Wednesday, the pub was busy for a small place. The 'T.E.A.' was nice, and the music was good, although I did not know any of the songs. Popular little place. The locals are lucky having this hostelry on their doorstep

  3. Beers on last night were Cottage Deltic Diesel, Cottage Brunel Great Eastern, Grand Union Honey Porter (yum yum), W J Kings Bullion One Hop (beautifully hoppy) and Hogs Back T.E.A.
