Description: The fact that this venue is pretty much in the middle of nowhere is both a plus and a minus. On the positive it gives it a quiet and rural atmosphere, on the negative it can be hard to find and takes a while to get there. On the right hand side is a long L-shaped brick fronted bar, with a thick wooden top, still with the tree curves. The ceiling has stained oak beams and uprights and there are plenty of old-fashioned kitchen type tables and chairs. It has small windows with dark red curtains, which can make it dark inside, though this can be cosy too. The walls are decorated with art prints, maps, mirrors, and photos of bygone sporting heroes. The floors in the front part of the bar are bare boards, there is a step down on the corner to a flagstone area with a large real fireplace. On the other side is a large dining room, complete with fake gas fire, almost real climbing plants, high chairs for young diners, and a piano. Beers on offer include Fosters, Kronenbourg 1664, San Miquel, Strongbow, Guinness, London Pride, and a selection of Ringwood real ales.
