Marlborough Head, Farnham

Description: This one room venue has high ceilings and light green walls, the red-patterned carpet looks like a recent replacement. There is a large decked area at the back for the smokers and lots more tables in a gravelled-over beer garden. It has large curtained windows on three sides, and a pool table in one corner. There are plenty of tables inside too around the central bar, with a few breakfast bar type high tables and stools. The walls are decorated with old photographs of the locallity and prints of rock and roll icons. Beers on offer include Carling, Fosters, Stella Artois, Guinness, Kronenbourg 1664, Belhaven Best, IPA, Strongbow cider. There is a raised area at the rear that when cleared becomes the stage for live music. Other entertainment is provided by a video projector and screen for sports and some large screen TVs. There are also some fruit and quiz machines and a fancy high-tech jukebox. The landlord has been awarded the "Cask Marque" for good quality beer.

  1. A very nice pub, have been in town for a while, am working this way. Great bar staff, seem friendly, I was drinking in a pub down the way, now in here, the beers ok, and a good atmosphire.

  2. Never been a great pub but fine for Sky and pub crawls, cleaned up a lot over the last couple of years and the beer garden (was the old back yard) quite big. Seen a few rock covers bands here over the winter, beer mostly very good, it used to be cheapest pub in Farnham and that probably clouds my judgement...
